7 Amazon Must Have Items To Make Life Better

Hi Foxy Friends! Hey twice in one week! Maybe this is a trend? But I've recently bought a few things on Amazon, that I think you all HAVE to have. I mean it, really, you'll thank me later.

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.

First up is this thing...how much do you hate having to try and scrape those last little bits of lotion or shampoo? You really want to throw it away, but also don't want to waste that last little bit...not going to give $0.25 to the man! It comes with different fittings so it can fit an array of bottle neck sizes and then you screw the three legs on top. This is a MUST buy!

Second up is these shelves. We plug in our phones not in our bedroom, but in our bathroom. Close enough that we can get to them if we need to, but not in our bedroom, so we're not distracted by texts or calls when we should be sleeping. Since it's in our bathroom, we use these short cables, we found that since the plug is so close to our sink, they get wet and then stop working. We had them on these short acrylic risers, but accidentally bought the previously mentioned short cables and it no longer reached to the riser. Oops. Enter my solution of those amazing shelves. No screws involved, perfect! Since it came with two I added a cute little plant I bought from a local lady and every time I see it, it makes me ridiculously happy.

If you don't have a succulent lady around you, these fake ones are pretty good.

Now that it is getting darker early, I decided I need to buy some sort of reflector when I'm walking. I walk while the kids are doing their sports things, and on Thursday it means that I am walking on a busy street. I mean, I'm on a side walk, but need to cross one major street. So I bought these arm bands, the light up, or they can blink and I feel like people can see me better. You can't tell from this picture, but they are pretty bright. And it comes with a spare battery.

I don't know where this has been all my life. I used to have a timer, but it was analog and it made a ticking noise that drove us all crazy. I might be the last person on earth to discover them, but I think it's life changing. Okay that was dramatic, but I REALLY, REALLY like it! So those lights there on the mantle, is on a smart plug! I set it from my phone, I can turn it on and off whenever I want, or set a timer. So now it goes on at 4:30pm and goes off at 11pm. We come home from sports and it's just on.

Speaking of timers, I LOVE these tea lights. They are timed as well, but they cycle through a 24 hour period, being on for 6 hours and off for 18 hours. So you have to turn them on for the first time when you want them to start being on, so at 4:30pm turn them on, then they'll go on everyday at 4:30pm. When they automatically come on while we're gone and I come home and see them on, it just makes me smile.

Of course I also have pillar candles on timers too. Seriously it's these small things that just make your house feel like a home. These candles have a remote control, and you can set how long you want them to be on, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, 10 hours. Again, the first time you use them, you have to set them at the time you want to start. I like starting all my candles at 4:30 as we enter into time change.

Those hearts (not so scary, I know), Mini Fox made for Valentine's Day for her brother, and she put them there so he would have decorations while he practiced piano, so I didn't have the heart to take them down.

One more thing and it's something that I bought but have no received yet is this skirt. This may or may not be part of my outfit for family pictures. Really hoping it works out!

Easy Fall Outfit

Hi Foxy Friends! I know it's been a while! I have all these ideas of things to do, and then life gets in the way. Maybe I'll do better, but no promises. Anyway, I thought I would do an outfit post for you. This is my fall staple outfit. Jeans, tee, and a patterned sweater. Makes you look put together without trying too hard.

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.

Jeans (similar) / Shirt (similar) / Shoes (similar here, here and here) / Necklace

See how adding a simple cardigan adds a little something to the outfit? This is one of the softest cardigans you will ever buy and they have 20+ patterns and colors.

My brother is getting married in less than a month and I'm trying out different make up looks. I really like these lashes, but you know how for photos you have to go a little darker and more dramatic then you would in real life...so might have to make the eye shadow a little darker. But digging the lashes.

Foundation / Dark Circle Concealer / Brightening Concealer / Eye Shadow (colors used are Pink Posey, Brown Sugar Shimmer, Rustic Brown and Pink Opal Shimmer)   / Lips (Berry Color) / Base eyeliner / winged eyeliner / Blush (Pink Posey  ) / Eye Brows

Can we stop to talk about this necklace? There is another layer, but for whatever reason I can't find it right now...granted I didn't look too hard either. But this necklace is PERFECTION! It doesn't tangle when you layer it and pretty much stays where you put it. They have different styles of layering necklaces and are under $50 for all three, deal!

So what is your favorite Fall uniform? My favorite tees, that I have in every color are these.

Until next time, I think I'm going to post my favorite Amazon buys on Friday, I've gotten a few things lately that I really love and you will too! See you soon and not in 3 months!

Friday Favorites - Last Day of School and Life Happenings

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! Not sure what happened last week, but didn't get around to doing a Friday Favorites, but let's get going this week:

These kids last day of school was yesterday and we are so excited about the Summer and all the plans we have.

This kid got to pitch in the championship game, and while the boys played a great game, we came up just a little short in the last inning. We are so proud of them and how far they have come this season. Baby Fox got picked for All Stars, so we're super excited about that, and ready for some more baseball in June!

One last team photo. Mr. had to miss the official team photo, so we got one at the last game of the season. Can't wait for next season.

This girl finally got her mojo back on the horse after falling off a couple of months ago, so happy she got it back. She's worked so hard for this.

Did anyone else catch the lunar eclipse, called the Super Flower Blood Moon? The kids asked to be woken up at 4am, so we could watch it, I love that they are always up for something cool.

To be clear it was 61° out, but warm jackets were definitely needed.

Right when we went out, not the full eclipse yet. Funny how the pictures make it seem like it is so far away, but in reality it was like we could reach out and touch it.

My dad took the kids to the largest National Cemetery so that they could flags near all of the Veteran's graves. I love that we can share this with them, and that they can try to understand everything that people have sacrificed so that we can be here today.

Now that we are vaccinated we actually got to go out for the first time as a group to celebrate a birthday. It's so nice to see things starting to go back to "normal".

Also went out with some girlfriends for the first time in a year and a half. It was so nice to actually hug them and grab a bite to eat.

I cannot even believe it is the last day of school, these kids did such a great job the last year, we had 3 first days of school, all distant, hybrid and then full time school. Both of them worked hard and received high grades and many compliments from their teachers.

I cannot even believe how much they have grown in one school year. Baby Fox looks like a different kid, like how is this the same school year?! He went from little kid to just a kid. Mind blown.

We were finally able to do our last day of school ice cream treat, glad I remembered to take the selfie before my parents and sister drove off. It's a tradition.

And can we say, how much this girl loves ice cream?

If your face doesn't look like this after eating ice cream, did you even eat it right?

First weekend of summer, and we have football Friday, then baseball practice Saturday morning followed by out team party. Sunday I think we're laying low, and relaxing, cleaning the house, the kids brought all the things home from school and it's scattered around the house. Save me. Hope you all have a great weekend!

My Cute Closet Leopard Romper

Happy Saturday Foxy Friends! I know a post on a Saturday?! But I just bought this romper a few days ago, and my friend said she would give me a 15% Memorial Day Coupon code for you guys. I have started the process for affiliate for her shop, but it hasn't gone through yet, so I am really just trying to get you guys a good deal!

This leopard romper is so soft and comfortable. It's a new arrival at My Cute Closet. I've bought a couple of things from her, and I don't think I'm going to stop any time soon! Right now she has up to 50% off for Memorial day, and if you use code FOXY15, you can get 15% off of your order as well!

Romper / Shoes (similar) / Bralette (similar)

It is low cut, so I put a cute bralette, under it. I cannot remember where I got it from. I fell for a FB ad, and they go low in the back, so you can wear them with backless shirts, so super cute. If I remember the brand I will come back and link it.

Look how cute the back of this. I can see me wearing this as a swimsuit cover up, or add some wedges and a jean jacket and it turns into a cute summer outfit.

What's Up Wednesday - May Edition

Hi Foxy Friends! Today I'm linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What's Up Wednesday, where we share what's going on with us. I haven't done one of these in a while, so let's get to it:

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.

1. What We're Eating This Week

I made this a couple of weeks ago and had to repeat it again. It's the best and so easy Tikki Masala, garlic butter rice and homemade Naan. The cauliflower was made by a friend, and he doesn't follow recipes, but he air fried the cauliflower and then cut up some herbs he grew in his garden and then sprinkled on the same spices we used for the Tikki Masala.

If you make this, I used 2% Plain Greek Yogurt. I bought this Garam Masala spice and this Kashmiri Chili Powder.

2. What I'm Reminiscing About

The last time we went to Disneyland was January 2019. We had bought tickets to go again because capacity is low, but with the new rules and stuff, it looks like the day before we go they might go full capacity, so I think we're going to wait a bit longer, until Disneyland figures out the crowds, because I've heard they are pretty knurly right now, even with 35% capacity.

3. What I'm Loving

The the kids are back doing what they love.

After falling off her horse 2 months ago, Mini Fox has gotten her confidence back, and is doing so well. We figured out what horse is the best fit for her, of course it's the biggest one our horse school has, but Mini Fox is loving it.

4. What We've Been Up To

All the sports! Baseball, Football and Horseback riding. Along with karate and piano for Baby Fox.

5. What I'm Dreading

Nothing really

6.  What I'm Working On

Need to make some coaches cup for our team party week after next, need to get on that soon. This is one that I made last week for a friend for their daughter's soccer coach.

7. What I'm Excited About

Summer! The kids have a few exciting camps they are going to go to and mostly I'm excited for our vacation in July!

8. What I'm Watching/Reading

Currently watching Wu Assassins, so far it's pretty good, not the best acting, but the plot is interesting.

We just finished watching Snowpiecer on HBO Max, highly recommend this one. Basic plot is scientist try to fix global warming and accidentally make the climate go to -127°, not livable by humans, so they create a 1001 car train that the world now lives in, there is a first murder and they have to solve it.

9. What I'm Listening To

Hmmm...random Youtube things, nothing to report home about.

10. What I'm Wearing

The weather is starting to warm up so I'm wearing dresses and skirts. Get this dress from a cute local mama owned online boutique here. Unfortunately it's out of stock, but this dress is pretty close.

Love this skirt and it comes in so many colors and patterns. And the shirt is so cute too, here is one that is similar. And and everyone needs these sandals, they are so comfy. Unfortunately they are not available any more, but keep checking back to see if they do go back in stock.

These shorts are hands down the best purchase of the year...okay maybe no year, but best shorts ever!

11. What I'm Doing This Weekend

Memorial Day weekend, Baby and Mini Fox are going with my dad to put flags on Veterns graves. Baby Fox did this a couple of years ago, and now Mini Fox is old enough to go with. Usually Memorial day is when we heat our pool, as if to say hey Summer is starting.

12.  What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month

Looking forward to Summer, swimming in the pool and hanging out with friends and going out to eat at actual restaurants, which we haven't done much.

13. What Else Is New

Finally caught a butterfly just hatching out of their Chrysalis. The other 2 we missed by a couple of hours, darn!

Alright that's all we've been up to late. See you on Friday for Friday Favorites!
